DevOps Engineer

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer with a minimum of two years of experience to join our dynamic Product Engineering team. In this pivotal role, you will be essential to designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance server and client-side applications. Your expertise will be instrumental in building robust infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, and driving continuous improvements. Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Management: Proactively communicate project progress and system health to stakeholders, ensuring transparency on ongoing initiatives and providing timely updates during incident resolution.
  • Infrastructure Excellence: Ensure optimal performance and scalability of our cloud infrastructure to support the delivery of high-quality products.
  • Collaboration: Provide technical support and collaborate with the development team to implement and enhance deployment strategies.
  • System Integrity: Continuously improve the performance and security of our systems and services.
  • Automation Advocacy: Champion automation by following infrastructure as code (IaC) models and SDLC best practices.
  • Documentation: Document all changes, upgrades, maintenance procedures, and processes to maintain a clear knowledge base.
  • Pipeline Management: Design, implement, and maintain the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Monitoring: Monitor and optimize system performance to preemptively identify bottlenecks.
  • Incident Response: Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues rapidly.

Technology Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Cloud Expertise: Minimum 2 years of experience working in an AWS environment.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Proven experience using IaC tools (Terraform preferred to provision and manage cloud infrastructure.
  • Orchestration: Experience working with containers, Kubernetes clusters, and Amazon EKS.
  • Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Tooling: Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bitbucket preferred).
  • Systems: Strong experience in Linux systems administration and a deep understanding of AWS services.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while learning new skills quickly.

Preferred Skills:

  • Creative problem-solving approach with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Adaptability and comfort working in a dynamic environment with evolving requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Associate-level Amazon AWS certification and/or RHCSA certification.
