You will be responsible for designing and managing scalable AWS environments across EKS, ECS, EC2, Lambda, and stateful services such as RDS and MongoDB Atlas. This role is highly collaborative – you will work closely with Backend, Frontend, and QA teams to improve reliability, deployment speed, and operational excellence across the engineering organization.

This is an on-site, senior-level role for engineers who thrive on ownership, automation, and building robust cloud-native platforms.

Key Responsibilities
1. AWS Cloud Infrastructure
  • Architect, deploy, and maintain AWS services including (but not limited to) EKS, ECS, EC2, Lambda, RDS, OpenSearch, and MongoDB Atlas.
  • Manage multi-account AWS setups, ensuring clear separation, governance, IAM policies, and secure networking.
  • Implement and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies aligned with defined RTO/RPO objectives.
  • Optimize performance, reliability, and automation across infrastructure components.
2. Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
  • Develop and maintain Terraform-based IaC modules and environment-specific configurations.
  • Oversee Terraform state management, code reviews, versioning, and GitFlow-based branching.
  • Automate validation, provisioning, and deployment workflows.
3. CI/CD & Automation
  • Build and operate CI/CD pipelines using GitFlow, Bitbucket, Argo CD, and AWS-native toolchains.
  • Manage Docker image lifecycle via Amazon ECR, including builds, scans, tagging, and deployments.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to automate application deployments and environment promotions.
4. Containers & Orchestration
  • Operate and optimize Kubernetes workloads on EKS, including cluster configuration, autoscaling, add-ons, and security.
  • Manage containerized services running on ECS and Fargate.
  • Deploy and maintain Kubernetes applications using Helm, ensuring consistent, versioned, and repeatable deployments.
  • Ensure container security, networking, and resource utilization best practices.
5. Observability & Monitoring
  • Configure and manage monitoring, logging, dashboards, and alerting using Amazon CloudWatch.
  • Improve observability maturity across services and environments.
6. Security & Governance
  • Implement secure-by-default patterns including IAM least privilege, network segmentation, and secrets management.
  • Maintain guardrails across accounts and environments.
7. Cost Optimization (FinOps)
  • Monitor and analyze cloud spending to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Lead tagging, rightsizing, and scaling best practices.
8. Collaboration & Enablement
  • Work closely with Backend, Frontend, and QA teams to improve development and release workflows.
  • Document standards, runbooks, and operational procedures.
  • Provide guidance on DevOps best practices to engineering teams.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure roles.
  • Hands-on expertise with AWS services such as EKS, ECS, EC2, Lambda, RDS, and MongoDB Atlas.
  • Strong experience with Terraform and GitFlow.
  • Solid Kubernetes operations knowledge.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or similar.
  • Familiarity with CloudWatch for monitoring and observability.
  • Strong understanding of networking (VPC, subnets, routing, security groups, NACLs).
Key Competencies
  • Ownership mindset and accountability.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective collaboration across cross-functional teams.
  • Focus on automation, reliability, and scalability.
Why Join Tekvortex?
  • Competitive compensation that reflects your skills and experience.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement.
  • A supportive and collaborative work environment.
